The Barn Collective

It is a special time in our area - the commercial fields of tulips are blooming - add
in some farms and you have paradise.
The sun was bright and the tulips glowed in front of a very nice barn.  The tulips are grown mostly for the bulbs and soon the flower heads will be cut off so the bulbs can put their energy into growing big enough for commercial sale.
Farm house and barn - and tulips
This barn was far away across the valley - but I just had to have a picture of it.
 Several farms behind the tulips.
A rusty old quonset hut barn - the pattern of the rust is interesting.
Wonder what those people are talking about
Beautiful cow barn with a weeping willow beginning to leaf out.
There are little stands along the tulip fields where young girls are selling tulips.  Different colors bloom at different times so you get a variety of colors all season.  Don bought me red tulips and yellow tulips

Come back tomorrow for more photos of tulips.

I love the strip of yellow next to the strip of red. The barns behind make for perfection. The rusty roof looks almost like patchwork.

I like barn shots to begin with, but waves of tulips add a whole new level of beauty! Every year, Ottawa has a Tulip Festival with numerous garden beds overflowing with them.I 've not seen fields of them like this before. Gorgeous!

What a treat it would be to stop by one of those stands run by the young girls, to come home with an armful of tulips!

What a lovely dimension those tulip fields add to the barns. Everything is so pristine and lined up so perfectly. It's a real feast for the eyes.
