June Was a Great Month

Time for a collage of June - so many wonderful days and so many photos to choose from
Happy days - flowers, doll clothes, boats, eagles, cows, more flowers, horses - a very exciting month
If I had to pick one moment it would be when I snapped this photo at exactly the right moment when a whale came  up on our whale watching tour - I can still feel the excitement whenever I look at this photo.

It was a very good month

Summer!!

There is something so special about foxglove - so tall and stately - yet playful when the fairies sleep inside the blossoms - or wear the flowers for their skirts - or use them for gloves when attending the fairy dances in the woods.  You can see the fairy footprints inside the flowers.

Barn Collective

Vacation Barns - these pictures were taken while on vacation
In Plain,Wa - lupines blooming alongside a road, in front of a barn.

Plain is north of Leavenworth, WA, in the mountains, near Lake Wenatchee - but not near the town of Wenatachee, WA.  The state wanted to name the town Lake Wenatchee but the town folks thought they would be confused with the other town, Wenatchee, WA and tourists would miss their town.  So they asked the state to give them a different name - they said,  "Just a plain name would do" - and so the town became Plain, WA - perhaps because the state officials were a little miffed at the town people for protesting the originally planned name.
And irises in front of another barn
This barn is in Eastern Washington - with the old fashioned advertising sign painted on the end of the barn.

Summertime and The Livin' is Easy

Time for more doll clothes.  Diane and I are doing a doll clothes challenge - one picks the fabric - we both make an outfit for our dolls and then the other picks a different fabric - and so on - all through the summer, and perhaps beyond.

This time I picked a pretty striped seersucker that is perfect for summer fun.  Abigail loves her new summer romper.
I'm so charming in my stripes and Crocs

Turquoise Crocs are perfect for this outfit (Crocs are from Amazon.com - my favorite shopping site.  There are four pair to a package)
Turquoise Crocs and a turquoise sand pail
Or it might be a berry bucket - I think I'll go find some wild blackberries.  Pie would be good.
Let's go outdoors - summer is wonderful!
I think they need help with their flowers - I'll pick of the ones that are not fresh any longer
Don't you love this visor - it keeps the sun off my face and looks great.
And I can wear pink Crocs with this sunsuit too - very fashionable!!!

The flowers are so pretty - I love summer.
Teddy like flowers too - sometimes he eats them - Don't eat the flowers, Teddy.
Decisions, decisions, which do you like best?
Let's go Teddy - time for a hike.
No Teddy, please don't eat the flowers - just smell them
