Weekly Top Shot

There is a magical light near the slough in Birch Bay State Park - I always get the best shots there - and fabulous color - it seems enchanted.  Yesterday we saw Mallard Ducks there - as we often do - but on the way out of the park we saw some dozing on the bank - great photo opportunity.

Mama duck sleeping - or is she?  Look at that eye, keeping on guard.

Everyone eating .  .  .  gives new meaning to the phrase "bottoms up"

The duck in back is shaking his head after eating - I love how the water droplets are spraying off  his head.

The female wasn't let you sneak up on her. :)

Love the cobalt blue in that first shot and of course the duck butts were fun to see too.

Such cute photos! Especially the one with all the butts in the air :) I love to watch ducks and hope to have some of my own someday soon!
