Another Fabulous Eagle Day

This is the best year we've had for finding eagles to photograph - plus I have my wonderful camera with 140x zoom - so I get photos I would have missed with my handy little camera that rides around in my pocket all the time.

Right next to the road - in the sunshine - can't ask for more than that.  .  .

Even the back of the head is interesting.  .  .

Wind in the feathers.  .  .

A tree with five eagles in it - it was just too far away to get a spectacular photo - but I loved all the eagles in the branches.

This was as close as I could get - still some great photos of eagles.

While we were eating our lunch in a little park I discovered this Golden Eagle in a tree - waiting for his lunch.

We had seen these two eagles by their nest before, but today was sunny with a bright blue sky, perfect for more photos.

I was hoping for a peek at the young eagles in the nest - but they must still be too small to peek over the edge.

This eagle was in the top of a tree - right next to a house.  Unless the residents heard the eagle call, they probably didn't know that an eagle was sitting almost on top of their house.

Wind blows the feathers.  .  .

I was lucky enough to catch her shaking and ruffling her feathers.  .  .

It was a very good eagle day.

Muito interessante...já é difícil encontrar uma águia, quem dirá cinco em uma só árvore, hahaha. Um abraço!

Wonderful shots! I love the ones of the eagles, like decorations, in the tree.

It is so amazing that you come across so many eagles all together. These shots really show their personalities, always waiting and watching. Very cool shots Jo!
