Geese In A Pond

A sunny drive last Friday afternoon - a  pond in a cow pasture - next to a raspberry field.  Don spots something in the pond
A Lone Canada Goose
Majestic
Wait - he's not alone - here is his mate - nesting on a little island in the little pond
A little farther down the street are more Canada Geese - at Willey's  Lake - taking a drink of water as they wade into the lake
Enjoying a swim on a sunny day

Great shots, JoAnn. I haven't seen our flocks of hundreds the past couple of weeks, they must have headed back north for the summer. We have a few that live here year round, though.

Nice to see them enjoying a sunny day. I have a goose shot I'll be posting one of these days soon.

Somehow they look better in the lake than walking on the grass leaving poop everywhere.

Such lovely looking birds.

I'll echo Julie's comment. They are majestic looking birds, but boy, they leave such a mess.

Beautiful colors, compositions, and contrast in texture between shimmering water and feathers!
