Friday Fences

I love all the rock walls in Washington - this one is on Camano Island.

Add in a bicycle for decoration and it is perfect.  The stones were carried up from the beach - which is down a huge cliff.

Always like the use of old bicycles in the landscape--very charming example you have here. I've been meaning to post a photo of a Barbie pink bicycle leaning against an ancient wall in the small Italian town of Lucca. Great subject.

What a pretty stone wall! I love thinking of the time and care someone put into walls like these. The bicycle is perfect, too. Love the color. xo

The rock wall is very pretty! Think of all the work of carrying all those rocks from the beach! The bike adds a lot too.

What a great bike! Love the stones in that wall but would not relish hauling them up a cliff with my poor old arms!! Even had DH vacuum for me this week, just couldn't push let alone haul!

Happy weekend JoAnn - good to hear from you.

Pretty stones make a very nice fence. As you said, the bicycle adds just the right touch.

That bike looks right at home.

That stonework is nicely done. I'd imagine that was lots of hard work.
