Heron - and an Eagle

Great Blue Heron in the slough near Birch Bay State Park 
The new green grass is appearing through the old grass of last season, making a fine frame for a heron.

And a Bald Eagle soaring above.

We have the grey heron on our landbut the bald eagle I have only seen when in the US - magificent bird.

I don't get to see many eagles here in my part of Texas...that one in flight is really special. LOVE the reflection on the top photo too.
