Saturday's Critters

Taking a ride down a quiet country road we saw an eagle soaring above us - we watched and followed it as it landed in a tree.

They are such majestic birds aren't they? Over our many visits to the US we have seen such a lot and they never cease to thrill me. Super photos of them.

Fabulous shots of what has to be our most amazing American winged creature! It must have been a happy moment with your camera at the ready JoAnn!

I've been watching the cardinals this morning - and the robins who are loving early bathing in the birdbath!

Hugs - Mary

Those are great photographs. In the UK Scotland is the only area wher you can see eagles so I've never seen a golden eagle. I have seen a couiple of kinds when I've been in the US though. They are magnificent birds.

Hi Jo,
It must be really hard to have small pets around there. We have hawks who have been known to take chihuahuas and kittens. But I bet an eagle takes a lot bigger prey if it wants to.

What great shots of that big bird!

I'm happy if I can get chickadee shots so sharp.

Amazing shots...that branch almost looks like it will snap under the weight of the eagle.

We were out fishing last week and caught a rockfish. Wayne released it and it barely got away. A huge eagle swooped down with it's talons extended right next to the boat. A beautiful sight for us, probably pretty frightening for the fish. - Margy
