There are many wild grass meadows in boggy areas - the little canals and channels through the grass make for interesting reflections on a sunny day.
And the cornfields have been harvested but the harvest was so late this year because of autumn rains that they didn't get the fields plowed. Water often collects in the fields - great for more reflections.
A little farther on we came across Trumpeter Swans, mucking about in the puddles in the fields. This is quite a ways north of where we usually see them each winter - a surprise for sure.
And in the next field - a few more Swans - the gray one looks to be a juvenile - though it is much darker than most juvenile Trumpeters. I took so many pictures of them and wanted you to see them all - so I made a video of all the photos - enjoy.
