A Mt. Baker Weekend

Two drives in the country - two days - two locations - or three - or four

You start with a foggy day - clearing early

Sun rays through the trees in our yards

The sun through the tree is amazing!

Sparkles and fog/dew on the tippy top of a tree in the sunshine - with a spider web
Mt. Baker - from the Mt. Baker Hiway - what better place to find Mt. Baker

With trees in front and whispy clouds above

Two side peaks
Not as much snow as most years, it has been a very dry winter here so far - and mild

A trimmed up apple orchard in front of Mt. Baker. These are the very tops of the trees - they trim them to be low and flat for easy harvest.

It was hard to get a clear shot with no trees in front of the mountain

Down the hill and around the corner - Mt. Baker behind blueberry fields.  The blueberry bushes are red in spring, just before they leaf out.  They are about 5 feet tall.
And just a bit farther down the road - a farm in front of Mt. Baker

An excellent Mt. Baker day!

Well, I really can appreciate those views of Mt. Baker with a choice of foregrounds. Trying to get Mt Fuji without electric wires is an exercise in great frustration.

Love these shots! We were socked in completely by fog Saturday and into Sunday morning, too. And I saw glistening branches and webs like yours yesterday afternoon. Love the look of those blueberry bushes with Baker. I don't think I've seen a blueberry orchard before.

Awesome photos, JoAnn! The one with the blueberry bushes in the foreground is my favorite...and I didn't know they were red until leafing out...I learn so much from so many bloggers.
Have a wonderful week.

It reminds us of our drive up through the fog to the snow last week. I just love the way the rays of sunlight come through the trees. - Margy
