Roses

The last of the roses - and a pretty bouquet

The last of the summer miniature roses - on my piano

Yellow and peach - fresh from a rain shower

And a lovely bouquet that Don brought home for me

My Dad was a rosarian so I grew up in a rose garden. Roses don't do as well in our volcanic soil and I have given up trying to grow them but I miss them whenever I see a bouquet or a picture.

Love the roses, especially that yellow one. I harvest more black spot than I do blossoms, so I'm triply impressed.

Thanks for joining in.

Hi JoAnn,
I love roses. They are beautiful and smell so good. I particularly like yellow ones. We have one bush of yellow roses at home. The fragrance is intense. Usually, it's the fragrance that reminds me to look for a newly opened rose.
