Red Tail Hawk

There are not so many hawks around now - but coming upon one is such a thrill - I can barely breathe while taking the pictures.

Just before take off.

Funny... I was just watching one out back soaring on the wind current as if she was just enjoying flight. They are magnificent aren't they?

He was giving you the eye! They are so regal. We have the occasional Coopers Hawk visit and they are fascinating to watch. I saw one swoop down on a little field mouse.....

Nicely done! We have quite a few red-tailed hawks where I live. Catching them with a camera is always a challenge!
