The Barn Collective

Yes, I know this is not a barn - but it is a very cool old house
With a little barn nearby - both are still in use.  Behind the little barn is the dike on the Skagit River - just think how much flooding there would be with all this rain if the dike wasn't there.

I like barns and sheds - even when the land is no longer used for farming.

There is also a nice white barn in the background

Wouldn't you just love to go inside?

I would love to go inside....all of them. Love those little buildings, too.

First off JoAnn, it's so good to have you back. I hope that all is well with you. The second barn is is my favorite. I hope that you will be able to return again soon.

I love the little sheds too. Sometimes I wonder about them--you know the whys and wherefores. I am curious I suppose.

You found some great weather-beaten barns this week, JoAnn! My favorite wasn't even a barn...it was the house in the first photo. I noticed the little building next to it has, what appears to be, a new metal roof...it is the garage or a tiny house?

Hi Joann! Oh, these are some very nice snaps of the old barns. There's a few around here. One day when I can actually get out I just make have to snap some barns too. Thank you so much for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

What an interesting batch of great little buildings! I started thinking about moving a workshop into any of them...then noticed there weren't a lot of windows. And they are probably pretty chilly. And maybe damp. I guess I'll leave it at just admiring them.

I sure would love to stick my head into those buildings!

Even before you asked, I thought, "I'd like to go inside of these!" I think they'd probably smell pretty good too - a dry hay and fresh grassy scent!

I love looking at old barn that are no longer in use too. They have a lot of personality and so often are like these with no paint on them. This is such a pretty selection and that little house is precious. I would love to have that for my are studio. That dike is impressive. I cannot even begin to imagine the flooding without it.
