Tea Party on a Tray

Sometimes it is nice to have tea for one.  A hot pot of tea, some treats and a few good books.

This tea for one set was a gift from my friend Julee - it had belonged to her best friend and now Julee wanted me to have it.  It reminds me of friendship and happiness.

The tray is hammered aluminum - the handles are especially pretty with dogwood flowers.
Some lemon loaf and a few sweets left from Valentine's Day
Or how about some oatmeal/raisin cookies - fresh out of the oven?
Shall we have tea in the drawing room? In the conservatory? In the garden?  By the fireplace? Tea on a tray can be anywhere.

Who could pass up an oatmeal/raisin cookie? I have been thinking of you because Sunday a friend brought me a darling one-cup teapot. Well, Yesterday I shared tea with her but had to use my old pot because it was tea for two.

That little teapot for one is so precious. I have never seen one like it. And your lemon cake looks yummy. BUT...by eye went immediately to the books. I adore the old books and have a number of them. Saying Tea for One makes me hum In my head Doris Day singing Tea for Two.

Very sweet! I know the feeling of using something special and being reminded of the wonderful person who owned it before. Julee is a great friend to you - one you'll never forget!
