Weekly Top Shot

Far off in the distance - I see a spot of white in a tree.

In almost the exact center - see the tiny dot of white.  I'm thinking an owl - maybe a barn owl - but it is mid afternoon - so probably not.
A Red Tail Hawk!!!!  And I spotted it by the white feathers reflecting the little bit of sunshine we had that afternoon.  What great luck!!!

We have loads of red tailed hawks around here. I have counted 50 along the 25 mile stretch of road to the town I do my shopping in. I can't believe you could see that white spot from so far away, you have eyes like an eagle!

It was wearing that white bib over its plump tummy just for you!

I have seen hawks and a huge owl in our backyard woods. I need to watch for patches like this since I never see a thing unless there is movement. Then, I just stand there and gawk instead of being handy with my camera!
