Beginning of Autumn Color

Leaves are just beginning to turn this year
Evergreens are the dominant tree in our forests
Some colorful cottonwoods and Maples among the tall tree remaining after selective logging some years ago and the newly replanted evergreens for sustainable logging.
Hillsides are beginning to show some color, mostly maples right now.
Another view of Mt. Baker with evergreen trees and a yellowing Maple.
Autumn is a season followed immediately by looking forward to spring  . . . Doug Larson

Everyone would like to skip the winter season! But it's beautiful there now with the fall colors! And our temps are very nice so it's wonderful to get outside. Hope you are well and that you enjoy a pleasant week! Sweet sweet hugs, Diane

How beautiful those trees look dancing in front of Mt Baker. Fall is always a beautiful season. Not too sure about the Winter that follows though. =)

I love your header...and I love the Doug Larson quote. It's true for me.
Your fall colors look pretty glorious. We've had rain off and on. A heavy rain hit on Saturday night, thankfully just as we arrived home from a nice walk.
