Barns, Barns, Barns

Spring is coming to the farms

Fields are being planted in front of the old barns

One old farm is falling back into the earth - taken over by blackberries that will eventually pull all the buildings down

The old barns do not look so forlorn surrounded by green trees and new crops as they do in the wintertime.
Have a wonderful week!

...JoAnn, what a great collection of barns that you have this week. Blackberries can take over the place in your neck of the woods. Thanks for sharing, I hope that you will come back again.

Nature WILL take over if there is not a human presence to disrupt it … fascinating group of shots.

By the way, I may not be commenting as often for the next few weeks since I will have my in-laws visiting from the UK. We are going to have a great time!

Barn wood is very popular around here for all sorts of decorating/furniture. Do you suppose people will reclaim this barnwood for anything useful?
