Petunias

A while back I showed you the huge pot of petunias that was a Mother's Day gift from our oldest daughter's family.
And now here it is - after some good pinching back of the petunias it has filled in beautifully.

I have forgotten the name of this lovely flower - it is exactly the same shade as the red petunias.

And the sweet pink petunias are the perfect place for the elves, Tammson and Pirphal to rest on a sunny afternoon

The pot of flowers has been a wonderful gift that I've been thankful for all summer!!!

Thankful Thursdays

A beautiful patio pot & oh those colours. Yes a good pinching once in a while does wonders. I wonder if that isn't something we need to apply to ourselves?

Your arrangement is beautiful. I would want to stay outside on the deck to enjoy seeing them all day. That really was a wonderful gift. I love the color combinations!

Are those impatiens? They look like some we saw last week at Butchart Gardens. This is a beautiful pot of flowers. Gorgeous arrangement.

Beautiful! Your petunias are photo perfect and the colors are outstanding! It takes a lot of love and caring to get a gorgeous planter to look as good as yours. You certainly have mastered the art of keeping your potted plants healthy and pretty.

I have been pinching back and dead heading the baskets of petunias since July but they still look rather ragged. Maybe they need fertilizing again (or more likely hubby didn't get them all watered all of the time). I keep the fairy gardens watered. The raised heights are easy for me to reach, not so for the baskets around the patio.

Have a fabulous weekend..... Hugs, Candy

When I was a kid, one of my garden jobs was to pick off the finished blooms on my mom's petunias. These days the varieties keep blooming without all that extra tending and there are so many varieties of size and color.
