Wood You?

Or would you?
Some trees had to be cut down in our neighborhood for safety reasons - and the wood was stacked alongside the street for several days.  It has been moved, split and stacked for drying.

Wood left at the road does sit around for long here.

Hello, I guess it is best to be safe than sorry. That is a lot of fire wood. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!

Firewood cut and stacked like that wouldn't last long in our neighbourhood!

If the trees had to be cut down then at least they will provide someone (or possibly several someones!) with lovely warm fires eventually. Would imagine that logs that size would take a year to dry properly.

I immediately think of "yule logs" - a big red plaid bow tied around each one with a spray of pine cones and fir twigs! No, you couldn't burn yours for several years, but it sure would look pretty on the hearth!
