Signs, Signs

I love the different kind of signs I come across - some very clever people out there.
We looked around but couldn't find the skinny kitty
This was by the door on a beach house on Orcas Island
The road had one little turn on it - have no idea why the sign was so wiggly - and it seems to be an official sign

My favorites - clever street names

Hmmm - backwards?

I can't think of a single unusual sign from around here. And that reminds me why I like coming here - you take the time to really LOOK at your world! Then you carefully photograph the unique things you find and bring them back here for all of us to enjoy! :) I like that!

These are all great JoAnn...Lois Lane took me a minute and then I laughed and had to pass the IPAD across the table ... Bill knows that would have been one to cause me to beg him to turn around so I could get a picture ( since I would have caught on a mile down the road).

Thanks for sharing those funny signs with us. I needed to smile after a tiring afternoon with some teenagers who didn't care about what I had to tell them.
Take care of yourself!

Hi JoAnn. Those are pretty good. I can't think of any wierd signs that I've seen lately but I did look back as I missed Sally Jo wrestling that old turkey. In a very spiffy outfit I must say..Happy Weekend..Judy

What a wonderful variety of signs. I love it when people post a series like this. They are such fun to look at one by one. Great contribution this week.

Sometimes I can't help taking pictures of signs. In Japan you can find some pretty funny English versions.
Maybe I should hunt up a few. My favorite was a kingfisher sitting on top of a sign stuck in a local pond. The sign said "NO FISHING" in English and that Japanese bird was perched there on top with a fish in it's beak. I have often wondered for whom that sign was intended.

Great finds! I don't think I've ever seen a wiggly road sign that had that many wiggles in it, even when the road had lots of twists and turns. That's a great shot, especially with the unconcerned cows in the background.

A great set of signs. I often smile at signs. There is one where I shop directing the way to Clevedon only a supermarket has been built in the way!. Then there is the sign to a hospital which was demolished over 20 years ago.....
