Christmas Tea

A christmas package came from my cousin Linda yesterday - and so I just had to have a tea party.
I've had this teapot for several years - it is one of my favorites during the holidays - I love how it looks like a bag all gathered up at the top
And this is what my cousin sent - they match the teapot!!!  I had no idea there were more pieces

 The perfect set
Come and sit - have a cup of tea and freshly baked cookies
Teacups with holly are perfect for christmas.

We'll sit and sip a cup of christmas tea.
Thank you so much Linda, I love the pieces that match the teapot.

I have two of these opalescent teacups with holly - found them at Habitat For Humanity Thrift shop - for 1.49 each.  Who can resist that?

Dear JoAnn:
What a wonderful gift from your cousin. What were the odds of finding more pieces? And your teacups look wonderful with it all. I also have one of those Japanese hand painted pedestal ones with the Holly on it. I love your photo with the cookies too! I am so glad you shared. I have been baking today and I am in such trouble. How does one not gain weight during Christmas?

Oh, I could eat all of those cookies right now! Warm Christmas cookies and a cup of tea sound wonderful to me. Your holly tea set makes a wonderful presentation that can be enjoyed throughout the holiday season. It was very sweet of your cousin Linda to keep you in mind when she came across this lucky find.

Have a wonderful Christmas week!
Hugs,
Candy

Hi JoAnn,
What a thoughtful cousin you have to gift you with the matching pieces! They are so perfectly festive and your holly teacups all look so lovely with them. Your cookies look nice too. I am making my donuts tomorrow; big job, as they are from scratch and everything is done by hand. But oh, they're going to be wonderful over the holidays! So glad to have you share with us and Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!

Blessings,
Sandi

Your cousin is observant and caring (and may even have your knack for finding things). What a wonderful gift! Lucky you!

Everything looks so pretty and "Christmas-y!" I love the green reindeer accented checkered tablecloth as a nice country-feeling complement to the tea pot and cups. The lovely lace tablecloth is taking a well deserved rest. Bet she'll want to come out for Valentine's Day!

You have so many wonderful things. I packed away all the Christmas decorations at the cabin this morning. We head to Bellingham tomorrow to spend Christmas with our friend Jeanne who lives across the hall. She came to live near us several years ago. She's an old friend and teaching colleague of Wayne's. Now she is a dear family friend. I have some of Mom's Christmas decorations already out at the condo so all we have to to is fix a simple dinner for the three of us on Christmas Eve. She is doing Christmas dinner for us the next day. - Margy
