A Visit With A Clever Swan

A drive through Skagit Valley, just south of here - and we saw hundreds and hundreds of Trumpeter Swans.  The fields are beginning to turn green, with a little mud for flavor, from the recent rains - the perfect background for the swans, and a few of their friends, the Mallards.
 Say, what's this fella doing?
Oh, nothing unusual - just standing on one leg
 Quite clever, that one!
I'm so good looking, don't you agree?
So long, been nice chatting with you.

Ok, time for a nap

Fabulous photographs, Jo Ann, that's quite a balancing act he's got going there! The reflections in the water add another dimension to the images, love the narrative too!
Thanks for kicking off MM this week and for telling me about your collections, you saved the best till last - friends are indeed the greatest things to collect.
Hope your week is amazing.

We rarely see swan on Powell Lake even though it is in their flight path going north. They are such beautiful birds. - Margy

Such beautiful birds! We don't have them here in Georgia, but they are all over Germany where we are going in June.
