Weekly Top Shot

This is the first time this year that we've been down to the ferry terminal in Bellingham to watch the Alaska State Ferry depart.  A calm and cloudy day - but so good to have the daylight to see the ferry going up Bellingham Bay, heading for the other side of Lummi Island and on to Alaska.

How I would love to be on that ferry - it is perhaps the only place in the world that I really would have liked to visit before my illness struck. Still dream of going.

The water is so calm that it looks like the ferry is sitting on a beach!

Beautiful shots! We lived in Alaska - my husband was there 30 years. I married him in 1987, and we were there together 15 of those years. Moved back to Montana in 2001 when my Mom passed away. Our daughter is still in Alaska and teaches school.

Nice shot of the ferry! I've been up to the Seattle area and taken the ferry to the San Juan Islands. Very memorable trip!

I adore a ferry ride, as they always transport to beautiful places.

That reminds me of the ferry that runs between Charlevoix, Michigan and Beaver Island which is a 3-hour ride. (Shades of Gilligan's Island!)

I'd like to hop that one though I think I'd wait for somewhat warmer weather.
