Managed a day of birding with the kids yesterday but no stunning pictures like that! Hopefully the sun will come out for another try after the weekend. I am happy to see the first few hints that spring is on its way.

Stunningly beautiful shot of the geese against the blue of the sky and the white snow. I can almost feel the icy coldness of the snow on Mt. Baker in this picture. I love the pinked out pictures of the cheery cherry blossoms in your new header.... Candy

Beautiful shot! And your header is glorious! Reminds me of when we lived in a little historic house in Chesapeake many years ago that was on grounds covered with dogwood trees and azalea bushes. Every spring it looked like we were living in a frosted cake! :-)

Beautiful shot, spectacular header and very interesting blog. Many thanks! I wonder if you heard about thousands of snow geese falling from the sky in Idaho, dying from Avian Flu. We saw just a single one in Stanley Park (Vancouver, Canada) and wondered if she/he somehow escaped the flu and suddenly found him/herself alone.
