The Good, The Random, The Fun

It's a beautiful sunny day - good for baking, and sewing and taking some photos.  So let's see what else is happening around here.
The Good
Berries ripening- these were under a shade fabric - not sure why they grow them that way, but there were fields and fields of them.  All the other berries ripened in the spring and early summer, these are just beginning to ripen in mid September
The Random
A friendly bear waving to all who pass
And the Fun
 Horses are always fun
Especially when they come over to chat

And more Fun - this is in front of a local cafe. It used to be a patchwork pig - now it is a big chicken
Love the sign - and the name

Do you think the fabric may be there to keep out the birds?
Wow! I love Velveeta!

I wonder if I could get Velveeta transported to the bottom of our drive? What a wonderful advert she would be for our eggs! Love the waving bear too.

That is one wild chicken. Random is fun.

Hi JoAnn!
I agree with Kay, the fabric might be to protect the berries from the birds. Those horses are sure lovely and fun. Oh the waving bear, so funny! And Velveta, priceless!
Take care,
Arlette

Good morning, the berries look yummy. I lvoe the pretty horses, great shots. And Velveeta is cute, kind of big for my yard though. Great series of images. Enjoy your day and the new week ahead!

What a lot of fun things! The chicken takes the cake. Perhaps the shade cover on the berries allows the grower to market them fresh when most of the others are long gone. Extending the season seems to be a trend. There are farmers here with fresh local strawberries on the market now.

Hi Jo!
I was thinking what Lorrie (just above) said about the berries -but she thunk for me! Phew! One less thing, right? Anyway, neat-o good...and random, and fun post. And the embroidery one below it... Zowie Batman you make such even stitches! I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite, but I think it might be Sunbonnet Sue.
Thanks for stopping by to visit Wallace and Josephine yesterday.

Love that chicken! Velveeta is a great name for a giant patchwork chicken.

The bay with the star reminds me of my old horse Misty. In fact, there were two named Misty that look almost exactly the same. - Margy
