Baby Ducks

At a nearby lake there were lots of baby ducks - tiny little things - scooting about.  I've never seen anything move so fast - they almost flew across the water - chasing tasty little bugs.  It was hard to keep them in  the view of the camera - I had to aim far ahead of them to get a photo.

One was still for a bit, in amongst the reeds from last year.
 And off they go again!

 Much faster than mama.

 Back and forth
Swimming in the reflections of trees around the lake
Sometimes just a blur as they zoomed about.
A quiet moment with the family.

They really are amazing to watch, and yes I've had the same problem as yuor self, trying to keep up with them, but you did a grand job and caught the energy.
All the best, Gordon.

What a sight to see! It just makes you wish you could hold one and cuddle it...nothing sweeter! You got great photos that give us an idea of how fast they were going! They'll slow down when they get older! lol Happy weekend!

Great photos!
I guess we should not be surprised at their speed - young children can run faster than their mothers can catch them!
