Sunlit Sunday - Random Seagulls

Seagulls are one of my favorite subjects - they constantly amuse and delight me.  Their feathers are spectacular.  Today I thought we'd view some of my random Seagulls - ones that never made it into a specific blog post - just Seagulls to enjoy.

Cleared for landing!

Taking off into the wind .  .  .

And yet they never land on top of each other.  .  .

Fairies dancing in the water behind the Seagull.  .  .

Balancing act.  .  .

Landing!

What do you have planned for the weekend?  I think we'll head out and find more seagulls.

Hello, JoAnn

I hadn't really thought of seagulls having so many different wing positions. You've captured the birds so beautifully; I can almost hear their distinctive call.

The landscape behind the gulls looks rather wonderful as well!

Thank you for bringing your feathered friends to "Sunlit Sunday".

I really like the shot of the two gulls taking off in tandem - like a aerial team!

Grand photos--so powerful and full of movement. I could not even begin to choose a favorite.

Great captures of the seagulls, they are entertaining even at our inland lake.

I was fascinated at how many different stages of flight and landing that you caught with your camera. I lived in Anchorage in the 70s.

You have some cute shots of them! We have them here too but we aren't by the ocean. They are a hearty bird.
