Tuesday's Treasures

Some lovely vintage treasures
Roses on a dessert set of berry bowls, with a big serving bowl. with just a little touch of gold.
I have a lot of pretty, old silverware, I found the spoon holder in California, long ago,  The dragonfly and butterfly are from my daughter-in-law, Jamie, she's as sweet as the berry bowls, sweeter even!!
The delicate scalloped edges make
these bowls even prettier

 Flowers, spoons, pretty dishes
Vintage napkins and a pretty tablecloth from Ebay
Would you like a bowl of fresh berries, right from the fields in Washington?  Stop by anytime.

Years ago, I purchased a small, footed, pretty bowl at a charity auction. It was called a "berry bowl" but I couldn't imagine actually using it. It was covered in delicate pink flowers - much like yours. I couldn't relate because it seemed such a part of the long past time of gentility. I think you've inspired me to use it at Mother's Day brunch - filled, of course! - with dainty little berries!

Love the spoon holder. I will also be on the lookout for one. The dishes would make for a beautiful setting for dessert. I had to get rid of a couple of sets, just running out of room.

I do love roses on china and your berry bowls are very sweet with the little scallops. Very old-fashioned looking which makes them totally charming. I love the lace napkins too as well as your silverware. The spoon holder is a wonderful find. The dragonfly and butterfly are just too cute and how nice they came from your DIL! Everything is just lovely and the lace underneath it all makes a beautiful background for your treasures. Thank you for sharing with us and have a wonderful day, JoAnn.

Blessings,
Sandi

I do love berries of all kinds! Are the strawberries ripening already in your area? We still have a long ways to go. But there are blooms! Rose patterned dishes are so pretty and probably my favorites. I like the small size of the berry bowls - most dishes nowadays are so huge that it's no wonder we're all getting bigger and bigger. Have a great day, JoAnn.

Fresh sweet strawberries served in your lovely berry bowls along with a bit of cream and sugar to dip the berries in would be delightful for a mid-afternoon snack on a beautiful spring day. I love the look of the aqua beneath the lace tablecloth. Hugs.... Candy

I love silver. My parents used to make silver jewelry and I have so many lovely pieces. I just don't dress up any more to have a place to wear them. - Margy
