Collect - an easy word for me
Teacups and teapots - new and old
And pretty pine cones all around
I have collections - many many collections
Dishes in interesting shapes and sizes
Dishes for breakfast - cheery and bright
Dogwood dishes from my great Aunt
Collections in pretty blues and pinks
Antique Franciscan Ware Desert Rose dishes
A wonderful inheritance from my grandmother
And jadeite dishes - gifts from Don
Pastels to set a spring table
Or an autumn or harvest table

Oh wow, you do have a lot of collections.. The dishes with the roosters is one of my favorites.. But, they are all lovely.. Have a happy Friday and weekend!
Oh goodness, I can't name (well maybe the bunnies) just one or two favorites, because they are all just lovely in their own way. Such festive tables can be set with each style.
Such pretty china JoAnn - and such a lot of it. Where do you keep it all?
You must have endless cupboard space, LOL!
So many beautiful pieces!! I love different china! xx
JoAnn, I love all of your collections! I'm crazy about china and yours is all just beautiful! Sweet, sweet post!
You must feel like Martha Stewart when you start to set up a holiday table! I've read that she has rooms full of many dishes in every color - and that's why her setting are always so fresh and wonderful - just like yours are!
But I think the most fun must be in collecting the pieces, often one at a time, on trips to thrift stores!
What an amazing collection! I can't imagine having space for so many beautiful pieces! (My grandmother had a Franciscan pattern, too. I can't remember if it was desert rose or apples. Your photo brings back memories.) I especially love all your pastels. Very sweet!
I really enjoyed seeing your "collections" - you have many beautiful things. I enjoy collecting Miniature Tea Sets, and the ponies from the Trail of Painted Ponies.
I have to admit I have a collection of demitasse cups from all over the world so I know about collecting ... in fact, I teach the collecting merit badge and it is fun to see what things teenage boys collect.
Oh my! You have the most beautiful collection of dinnerware. The Dessert Rose is gorgeous....what a treasure! Be glad you don't live next door. Instead of coming over to borrow a cup of sugar....I would want a sugar bowl! haha! Sweet hugs, Diane
I've moved 13 times in 30 years of marriage...so the thought of having this many dishes gives me a panic attack!! I'll admit to collecting scrapbook paper like you collect dishes...Only in the last few years, though. And I dread the thought of packing it all up to move!!
What a fabulous collection you have. The Tea Cups are so dainty and pretty. I can't imagine how much space you would need for those dishes. They are lovely though.
