Mrs Moon

Mrs Moon sitting up in the sky
 little old lady, rock-a-bye
with a ball of fading light

 and silvery needles
knitting the night.
Mosaic Monday

All photos of the moon taken with Canon
PowerShot SX30IS and a tripod. The camera zooms to 140X.
I use the landscape or auto setting.

I watched as the moon was on the horizon and then reached up higher into the night. Nice post and pictures

Your Mrs Moon post has wonderful detail of the moon - I am waiting for the Iphone700,000,000 so I can get such detail!

Fantastic images...I love watching and photographing the moon when I can even with my little camera.

I can't believe that anyone but NASA would get shots like this! I remember the ones you took in the dark too. I used to gaze at the moon when I was young and wonder if there were any kids up there looking down at me! Maybe there are! But they'd probably be green and about three feet tall!

These are so beautiful Joanne. Mrs Moon is shining here as I write this.

Wow! I had to dig out my PowerShot, thinking I've been missing out but it only says a zoom of 5x so I'll not be getting any photos like yours. Makes you hesitate to buy (or have, which I do) a DSLR with a telephoto lens.
Thanks for sharing the moon with Mosaic Monday.

Wow... Very we'll done. I really need to be patent and learn how to take moon shots. You did a great job on all of these!
