Snap! Sunsets!

For Helena's meme this week I've picked a group of sunsets.  Don and I went to Lopez Island (just off the NW coast of Washington State) for a combined birthday (Don's) and our 52nd anniversary celebration a few weeks ago.  We stayed in a cottage on the beach - overlooking the boats coming and going and the gorgeous sunsets every night.

The magnificent view from the patio on Lopez Island
The Washington State Ferry heading out to Orcas and San Juan Islands just as sunset ends

The very last of the sunset.  Good night!

Wow, JoAnn, I thought we saw some beautiful sunsets when we were in San Diego and they are not too bad here either, BUT I think you win! So beautiful and your photography makes it gorgeous for us all to see. Have a good weekend..xxoJudy

Those are "otherworldly!" In fact, your post takes us from the burst of an early autumn morning (sunflowers!) down the darkening close of night!

That first shot is gorgeous. We had a nice sunset here in town last night. But it's time to go back to the cabin and get away from our technology woes. I hate it when there are software upgrades and nothing seems to work. - Maryg
