Not really a new barn - but very well kept. It is in town, right in a neighborhood and if the mountains hadn't been covered in clouds - Mt. Baker would have been the perfect backdrop.
Love the shadow of branches on the front of the barn
And of course had to get a photo of their matching mailbox
And one sad old barn - it amazes me how some are left to melt away and some are loved and well kept.
...oh, I still love both of them, JoAnn! Neat shot of the barn and mailbox. I hope that you will have many more sunny days in your neck of the woods. Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you again.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful barn and a fabulous mailbox. I must say I love the tree, the trunk and roots are so interesting. I wonder what stories the dilapidated barn could tell??
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute mailbox! Nice red barn photos, and I agree with you, it's so odd how so many houses, barns and other buildings are just left to well rot actually! We've had a few out where I live and finally most of them have been removed and new a new family has come and built. But it's not always the case.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I love the sad, old barn. Nothing quite like a tried and true structure!
ReplyDeleteYes, the shadow of the tree on the barn is special. I need to start paying more attention to these sorts of details! Have a super week!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth. We find old barns so interesting along the roads, and do wonder why some have fallen into such disrepair. I never seem to have my camera with me though. The red ones are always my favorite..Happy Week to you..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteThe old, sad barn appeals to me. I think of the stories it could tell, and wonder what it harbours now - some birds, insects, other little mammals?
ReplyDeleteI like both barns. Glad you got a photo of the barn mailbox too
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
So sad to see the barns just left to rot away and nobody left to tell their storys

PS: I am glad the snow is gone even though it is pretty for awhile---SPRING!!!.
Love both barns, especially the pretty red one with its mailbox!
