We start with roses
Just the perfect color to go with my Sears Cattail tea set
This dish set was made in in the early 1940s; the teapot sold for $2.98 and a cup and saucer was fifty cents - of for those prices these days.
Let's have some Fresh Apple Cake with our tea
Green Bakelite handled flatware is perfect for these dishes
Come, sit, enjoy, there is tea and cake for you too
And lovely roses to scent the room
I'm a big tea lover, and fall is my favorite season. So I really love your pretty teaot! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm! xoKathleen

That is a lovely tea set. Nothing like slowing down a bit and enjoy a cup.
ReplyDeleteYes set a festive table!
ReplyDeleteThose roses are gorgeous! I doubt if you found them growing in anyone's yard this time of year. Hope the storms didn't beat you up too much. It was very mild here. No disappointment but we were expecting much worse!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely fall tablescape! Your roses are an amazing color. I have similar colored roses called "Fiesta" but yours are much bigger and nicer. So great to see a tea set (and prices) from the 1940s! I'm enjoying apple and pumpkin baked treats too.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
Such a pretty post! Fall is definitely the time for orange! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCan't look at that without going and filling my cup. (And it isn't as pretty as yours either)
ReplyDeleteIt all looks delightful! Your roses are such a happy colour and i'm feeling a little peckish so I would love to join you. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to join your lovely fall tea time! The yellow flowers and Cattail tea set blend together beautifully.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful and homey fall tea! I love the cattails teaset, and the apple cake sounds delicious! The roses are gorgeous. Just beautiful! Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Beautiful roses. My mother loved growing them even in the heat of her Hemet, California home. My good friend John brought me some gleaned apples from a tree in the bush (an old homestead I guess) so I canned spiced apples and applesauce for the winter. I wanted to do it, but the price of apples in the store was too much to make it a savings. With free apples, it was a huge bargain. - Margy
