A bonus sunny day - they predicted clouds all day but it was gloriously sunny and 62 degrees - which is a bit warmer than normal for this part of NW Washington. We had a fun drive in the sun.
15 years ago today we arrived in Bellingham from N. California. What a day to celebrate our arrival - with sunshine and flowers and birds.

Wasn't today glorious! We drove home from Lacey where we watched the WWU women play in the basketball finals. Unfortunately they did not win. - Margy
ReplyDeleteToday was sensational! I expected rain and instead enjoyed the sunshine and worked in the garden. Is the unknown flower a magnolia? It's a beautiful creamy pink colors.
ReplyDeleteThe garden where I grew up had 15 forsythia bushes so your pictures bring me many memories. The mystery tree is a magnolia. We have quite a few varieties here, none in bloom as yet. Weather news had lots of snow hitting the west coast. Guess it missed you but Mt. Baker looks like it got it's share.
ReplyDeleteLooks absolutely gorgeous and that spring is well on its way.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your all flowers are smiling in the brilliant sunlight! Sooo lovely. As Lorrie says, the unknown flower is magnolia, I think. Your post made miss sakura flowers in Japan. I will have to wait for a few weeks to enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy new week.
Hello, beautiful sunlight and images. The blossoms are beautiful and I love the Flicker and Heron. Great post.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday, enjoy your new week!
What a glorious looking spring you must be having!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary on your move. What a beautiful day you had, so mild. All of those delicately coloured blossoms are lovely and the zesty yellow of the forsythia just shouts out a happy greeting. You certainly chose a gorgeous place to live.
ReplyDeleteKaren
No pink flowering trees here yet. We have had lots of rain and snow should be plenty water to get them going. We have a weeping cherry that can't wait to start budding.
ReplyDeleteLooks like spring has sprung!
ReplyDeleteI wish you could send some of that spring over here - it is minus 2 and cloudy.
ReplyDeleteGlorious images! Mother Nature at her best. I love the flowering trees and when their "snow" covers the ground. Birds and bees are busy!
ReplyDeleteI love the Blue Heron photo! - and the fact that you are able to enjoy spring while we sit here in snow and cold temps!
ReplyDeleteHappy "anniversary!" We moved to Washington in March, too -- the 12th. Six years for us this week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blossoms! Thank you for sharing them with us! xx
ReplyDeleteIsn't this just a spectacular time of year? We had lovely sunshine yesterday but today is back to rain....but then it's all good for the blooms that will come next.
ReplyDeleteYour shot of the Great Blue Heron is gorgeous.
