A favorite place to sit - on a bench made from a fence, but wait - look closer. It isn't really a bench for sitting - it is an outdoor shelf, made from a fence. It still makes me want to sit here and see who might pass by. The old fella from down the street, strolling along and always ready to stop for a chat. Or the little kids from next door, running past in their pursuit of the puppy that is galloping down the street. Or perhaps three teenage girls, laughing and giggling, because of course, there are three teenage boys walking behind, wondering if they might be brave enough to speak to the three girls.
Or, for the shelf, bright red geraniums to perk up the grey of the fence lumber. Maybe some bright, trailing nasturtiums in pots all along the shelf. Pansies . . . Petunias . . . miniature sunflowers . . . the choices are amazing.
A fence - or a shelf made from a fence - or a bench made from a fence, it doesn't matter which, our thoughts are happy when we consider the possibilities..

I like that bench/shelf - I was thinking at first that they had made it very difficult to climb onto!
what a great place to relax & rest a while. (:
i would be very happy to have that bench here at my house!
I would like having that in my yard...
Very nice photo.
Regards and best wishes
I love this... very creative...I can see a few colorful planters sitting upon it with beautiful flowers
I love your possibilities!
I wonder if the bottom part is a repurposed table. I like it!
What a neat plant shelf.
You're right--a perfect spot for some red geraniums. And the person who built this "fence" had a sense of humor, didn't he?
Nasturiums! Oh how I would love to see a big pot of them right about now. I always forget to plant them, so I thank you for the reminder. And the shelf/bench/fence is something fun to spark the imagination! ~Lili
