There seem to be more old and run-down barns in our area than there are new ones.
This one is still in use, at least as shelter for the horse.
Still in fairly good condition - but not in use on a farm
Falling down into the surrounding blackberry bushes
Standing tall, but vacant
Patched up
A great collection of barns!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
Hello, Great barns series. I love the first photo with the horse.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday, enjoy your day!
I always like the oldest and saggiest ones best.
ReplyDeleteOld and so interesting. I love the weathered wood!
ReplyDelete...There seem to be more old and run-down barns in my area too! First off, your banner is fabulous. Some of those old timers won't be around for much longer. Thank JoAnn for stopping by, please stop again.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful barns!! Great photos!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Oh, I love falling down, dilapidated and sometimes patched up barns. Isn't that horse a pretty fellow. I never tire of looking at your barns, lovely JoAnn!
ReplyDeleteI always think it's a shame when these lovely barns are let go. Imagine the effort and money it took in those days to build them … and as the saying goes, a stitch in time saves nine - easier to keep it up than try to repair it when it's far gone!
