In summer the fields on the farms are bursting with crops
Corn
Hay in the front - potatoes in the background
Potatoes in the foreground - and a tractor plowing up old strawberry fields
Clover - and then more corn in the background
And hay in front of blooming potato fields. This area grows tons of potatoes - the most delicious potatoes we've ever eaten
When the potato fields are in blossom it is an amazing sight. The purple blossoms mean red potatoes - white blossoms are white potatoes.
They grow tall and lush, making mounds of potatoes below ground

Hello, great barn series. I love the views of the field. The potato blossoms are pretty. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and new week ahead!
...JoAnn, you sure live in a gorgeous agricultural area. The barns are lovely, but the fields are a great addition. Thanks for stopping by, I hope that you can do it again.
I don't know if I've ever seen a potato field of flowers! How beautiful. I love seeing the crops at harvest time. Hope your weather is nice this weekend. Sweet hugs, Diane
Pretty scenes, and very interesting information about potatoes!
It's been years since I've seen a potato field in bloom - just beautiful JoAnn.
Your barns are lovely - and that header has a huge wow factor - definitely America the Beautiful!
Hope you and family are well.
Hugs - Mary
Beautiful plants and that soil looks excellent!
Thanks for this beautiful and informative post!! How could I not have known that about the color of the potato blossoms -- born and raised on the Idaho border as we were (not the main potato growing part though, in my defense). Beautiful farm landscapes -- every picture is so lovely.
Didn't know you were in a potato growing area.
I think those potato plants are new for me. I can't recall ever seeing a crop like this before. And it's especially interesting because I'm considering growing potatoes.
I didn't know that about potato blossoms! What lovely barns and such awesome fields of goodies to harvest!
All of those flowers and potatoes too!!! What an amazing sight to see! Now I have a taste for boiled cottage ham with boiled red skin potatoes and cabbage. Thank you for sharing!
Hugs,
Candy
