Barns and Such

An old barn - beginning to show its age - with unused silos behind.  I haven't seen a farm in our area that uses the old cement silos anymore.
Going - going - almost gone
Still standing - with bits of metal atop the lower posts to protect the main body of the barn from the wet field it stands in
A very old, large barn to the right, with old, topless silo and a newer barn/cow shed to the left with newer but now unused silos.  Still a working farm
Not a barn - but a clever farm stand selling flowers this time of year.
A small row of sunflowers is all that is left

...in this area silos are a thing of the past for all large farmers, the Amish and some Mennonites use them. JoAnn you sure see quite a assortment, I like the little wee one with the sunflowers. Thanks for being here today, I hope that you do it again.

The first barn is enormous. It is as big as a factory. LOVE the sweet little flower stand. I could cope with this pretty in my garden. =) Oh, your flowers are beginning to die down, how sad. You know what that means, don't you....Autumn/Fall which is lovely....but then.... Winter! =(

Nice collection of barns. I especially like the looks of some of the small farm stands you can find around Washington. You've found a couple of cute ones.
