 Are you looking at me?
Too close - I'm outta here!

  1. The herons are almost prehistoric-looking, aren't they? I love to watch them in Beacon Hill Park, where they nest high up in the oak trees. The geese are thick on the beach right now - they stay all year - but they will move on by the time we humans wish to use the beach.

  3. Great shots. We have lots of herons out here but for the most part people never see them. They stay so still that many just pass by without noticing until they fly up out of the the water's edge.
Of course if you put some fish in a pond in your yard you will get to the herons on a rather up close and personal level.

  10. The geese around the cabin don't have any babies in tow yet, but the ones down at the marina do. Ours better quit flying, swimming and arguing and get the job done. - Margy
