A few weeks ago - while I was on my blogging hiatus we went for a Sunday ride on a cold and frosty morning. The sun was coming up and soon the frost would be completely gone - I was so happy to capture some of the frost - it happens quite infrequently here.
The sun gently touching the frosted trees
It was a perfect sunny day - with Mt. Baker in full view - something we had not seen for a while.
And high above - the moon on a frosty, sunlit morning.
Such beautiful sights you saw! I always enjoy seeing Mt. Baker!
ReplyDeleteOh your images are breathtaking JoAnn.
ReplyDeleteWhat a winter wonderland - clear and crisp and I imagine very, very cold!
What a beautiful day! I especially like your first frosty road through the trees. That's a frame worthy picture. I'm glad we don't get much snow around here. The hard frosts like this one are enough to give us a taste without needing snow shovels.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful frosty images! I love the winter days when all the trees and twigs are coated with frosts.
ReplyDeleteAnd you really have captured it. Beautiful and a lovely view of Mount Baker.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog at 'Sunlit Sunday.' Your photography is stunning! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, JoAnn. Frost is rare in our area and it's great to get out and enjoy it. Mt. Baker has been in hiding for much of this week - hope he appears again soon. Have a wonderful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are crystal clear and sharp, just perfect for the snow scenes, lovely share x
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had much frost this year, so scenes like these have been rare. The shot of the moon is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOur winter has been mild and not much snow or frost this year ! Lovely photos . Visiting from Sunlit Sunday . You have a lovely blog . Thanks for sharing have a good week !
ReplyDeleteBrrrr! Our frost is not that beautiful ... just some crunching on the grass when I walk Nikko through the park.
ReplyDeleteBrrr! Lovely frosty pictures. I bet the air smells so clean and fresh!
ReplyDeleteThese are magical! I think frost might become a thing of the past some day - I believe that we are "globally-warmed" - we've had an unusually mild winter with little snow.
ReplyDeleteI love the sky with the moon! WOW! It really looks beautiful. We saw heavy frost quite a bit in the mountains of NC but we're hoping we don't see any this week here. The cold air is dipping down and that will nip the pretty green grass. Enjoy your week sweet friend. Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteHello, beautiful captures of the frost. We have not seen a heavy frost as of yet, more snow coming tonight into tomorrow. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos!
ReplyDeleteWhen I opened your blog, some how it was translated into Finnish!!! I got very astonished, thought - do you really speak Finnish! Do you?
That is some amazing frost...and the last picture is stunning!

ReplyDeleteFrosty mornings are SO beautiful and your photos and mosaic is just stunning! Enjoy the rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteClassically beautiful with the red barn and the mountain in the background. Do you remember the Ideal magazines that our grandmothers had? Mine at least. That photo is Ideal.
ReplyDeleteThe frosty photos are beautiful, JoAnn, and show one of prettiest features of winter. The mountain, of course, is glorious!
