These barns are in an area near a small town named Everson - it is nearer the Canadian border, and is flatter than some areas.
The farms in this area have been consolidated into bigger operations and the many barns are left to decay.
This one is still in use - but you can see the white, round bales in front of the barn that are used instead of the silos now.
A large, well kept barn, still in use. I like the basketball hoop in the barnyard.
Old and neglected - in a beautiful field of green
A small barn, probably used for hay storage at one time
Another well cared for working barn. Pee-a-boo!
An old, old chicken house.
It's Always so sad to see old farm houses or houses for that matter, that are forgotten by people. Once there were lots of persons living/working there, now noone wants them.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for showing us them.
Love Elzie
All of your barns are of a style that I might find here except the first one. I always like those long roof lines. Thanks JoAnn for sharing such a great collection this week. I hope that you find more to share again. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteLots of barns around your country!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't help but notice the lovely backgrounds in each photo - the gentle skies, the fuzzy tree lines.....so sad when barns are left to decay, though.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a very pretty region. I do like seeing the ones that are well cared for and still loved.
ReplyDeleteLovely barns and scenery, JoAnn!
ReplyDeleteThere seem to be a huge number of redundant buildings around your way. I know what would happen around here. Someone would apply for permission to convert them into housing.
ReplyDeleteOh, my, I love them all...got to go back through and see what I missed last week. Always enjoy your barns.
