A sunny day, a ride in the country and more barns. There are hundreds of barns in our area.
I don't think this is a "barn", but it has the shape and is very well kept
Surrounded by an apple orchard in a mowed field
I like how they have honored this barn by displaying it well, even though it is not used as a barn anymore.
Couldn't quite make out the words on the sign on the side of the barn
There are an unusual amount of windows in this old barn
It seems to be storage for hay - at least on the top floor, and the roof is new
How I love all these barns! And I would love to know the story of that last barn! It sure looks like it could have had a different life than a normal barn.
ReplyDeleteSo you are a lucky one too! We have bunches of barns also. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteYou found some great barns. I like them all. We have one or two of the "looks like a barn but isn't" type. the ones around here look like very nice homes in the barn style.
ReplyDeleteI love those dormers on that first barn, They all seem to have their own personalities.
ReplyDeleteThe old barn with all the windows looks like a good candidate for a conversion to a house. I've always dreamed of doing that. Lovely barns!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful collection of barns. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat barn with the mowed field and the apple orchard is so beautifully kept that I think I could happily live there!

ReplyDeleteI look forward to your barn shots each week!
ReplyDeleteYour first "barn" is utterly charming! What a cute place to sell ice cream or antiques. It would cost a fortune to reproduce all that charm in this day - I am assuming it is an old building.
ReplyDeleteMaybe cows like to watch what's happening on those long winter days indoors. - Margy
