The Barn Collective

Barns long past their usefulness - seems to be more abandoned barns than those still in use.
With just a ghost of the name still on the barn

  1. What a great barn and I'm straining my eyes to read that faded sign!

  3. Those buildings were certainly majestic. I suppose they are disappearing at a rapid rate since upkeep or restoration must be terribly expensive.
    Your photos are beautiful!

  4. Is it Woodlyn Dairy? I love the old barns and I'm loving that green grass! I'm sure ready to see that. :) Great photos!

  5. It is interesting spotting ghosts of old signs that are painted on to buildings isn't it! xx

  6. Very atmospheric. I especially like the one with the trees. They look like apple trees. It is great that you document these barns for the future.

  9. That is a beautiful old barn...I can make out the word 'dairy' but not the family name.

  10. I see a "1932" or "1922" in that ghost sign. It really is a beautiful barn. I hope it's still being used even if not for a dairy.
