Your first two photos remind me of an assignment from a college art class. We had to paint "desolate," among other descriptive words. That little barn and the lonely setting are exactly that!
Time and weather are not kind. To answer your question, we've not been to Rockport. Since we've moved here (5 years next month!) we've stayed occupied on the home front with one project after another. We hope this year to get out on the road more. We got a new-to-us smaller trailer in December that should make it easier to get around with our older towing vehicle. We'll see. There's always something more for DH to build or that needs work.
Just think, though, how much more character such a thing has!
ReplyDeleteI like the first shot of the barn and fence! It does have character! Have a happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy the old barns and buildings! They all character that new ones lack.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, JoAnn.
What a shame this little barn is returning to nature, as you put it.
ReplyDeleteNice stuff, JoAnn. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNice photos, the old barns have so much personality, yet in dying -
ReplyDeleteIt may be returning to nature, but it looks like there is a lot life left. Tom The Backroads Traveller

ReplyDeleteLike so many old wood barns..slowly blending back in with nature.

With a little tender care, this could be a truly beautiful area.
ReplyDeleteI really like these...looks like it is right after a rain! I love how rich the colors are.
ReplyDeleteSix words, now that's a challenge :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your snaps.

It's so organic, almost as though it grew rather than having been built, it blends into the landscape perfectly.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like someone has already dumped one shed into the stream nearby. Such is life... after usefulness, things are left to decay.
ReplyDeleteVery well described shed decay indeed! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is just the way it should be.... returning back to its roots! Lovely view too.
