Black and White Wednesday

Christmas 1975 - this is a real black and white photo.  I wanted to take one in color at the time, but had black and white film in the camera and you had to use that roll up first before you could load more film in the camera.
Our "kids" are now 46, 44 (45 next week) and 49 .

  2. I love seeing vintage photos like this! I can so relate. The tree and the kids lined up in jammies in front of it look exactly the same as those in my memory. Yes! - the old cameras where you loaded film and then hoped for the best when they were developed - I sure do remember those!

  3. Jo, how sweet. This looks like Before the Grand Opening of the Presents, huh?
And I wish I could find a tree like that one. All the trees around here for so many years are so full and bushy, that the ornaments kind of lie on them instead of hang. Oh well!
    Happy Advent! m & jb

  6. I have to laugh at Jeanne's comment...though I'm just as lame at remembering 1975 as I am yesterday.
Love this sweet photo. Unless I was traveling, it would take forever for me to get film developed. I love the immediacy of digital. (AND the choice of black & white or color!)

  8. What a wonderful photo, JoAnn! I love it. Black and white photos just have so much character. :-)

Thank you so much for the well wishes. Thankfully, the blister phase is done. It was so not fun.

Sending warm holiday hugs your way...

    XO,

    Sheila

  12. Yes, JoAnn, we had lots of rain and wind overnight as well as this morning. It stopped long enough to allow some blue skies this afternoon but I know we're in for more. Batten down the hatches!
