Black and White Wednesday

There are some ponds near our house - and lots of Canada Geese.  They fly over our house often - going to the lake or back to the ponds.
Their feathers are amazing!

  2. You really captured the stark beauty of that black and white contrast. These birds always hold their heads so high and stand so proud of themselves!

  3. JoAnn, what a perfect subject for black and white. Your pics are so crisp and sharp. Just beautiful. I seem to be getting a lot of blurred photos lately, either I need a new camera or new glasses!. I love black and white and forget I can change my pictures..Happy Wednesday..Judy

  4. Yes I agree JoAnn - a good subject for black and white. We get them here in the UK in their thousands - they are quite a pest with the amount of grass they eat, but they are lovely to look at.

  6. Hooray for you! Gorgeous shots! It can be harder than it looks, can't it? I tried to get shots of a couple of geese hanging out with a flock of wigeons the other day...and if one's head was up, the other's was down searching for food. You got some real beauty shots here.

  7. They pose quite nicely ... to show off those neat feathers, I imagine.

  9. Lovely pictures JoAnn, the geese look like they are posing for glamor shots. We have a lot of geese around our development because of the lake up the street. They are so pretty but so messy.
