Far off in the distance - I see a spot of white in a tree.
In almost the exact center - see the tiny dot of white. I'm thinking an owl - maybe a barn owl - but it is mid afternoon - so probably not.
A Red Tail Hawk!!!! And I spotted it by the white feathers reflecting the little bit of sunshine we had that afternoon. What great luck!!!
Great sighting of the Red-tailed hawk ! It is a beauty! Thank you for linking up with the Saturday Critter party.. Enjoy your weekend!

What an awesome find and so far away! Great eye!
ReplyDeleteYour eyes are as sharp as the hawk's! Great tracking job. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteApplause, applause for your great eagle (hawk) eye! Nice close and far shots!
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteWe have loads of red tailed hawks around here. I have counted 50 along the 25 mile stretch of road to the town I do my shopping in. I can't believe you could see that white spot from so far away, you have eyes like an eagle!
ReplyDeleteIt was wearing that white bib over its plump tummy just for you!
ReplyDeleteYou were so lucky to see this beautiful bird!
ReplyDeleteI have seen hawks and a huge owl in our backyard woods. I need to watch for patches like this since I never see a thing unless there is movement. Then, I just stand there and gawk instead of being handy with my camera!
