Seagulls

Last night - at our picnic and watching the Alaska Ferry depart from Bellingham, we spotted seagulls - and it was bath time - time for some great shots.

Get ready!

Get set!

Dunk! - you can see the water draining of his back.

They make a bit of a whirlpool in the water before they dive in.

Dive!

Flap  and splash

Flap flap - get that water off!

Good-bye!

Down

Down

Up

And shake!

 Shake and hop!

They actually flap and move backwards through the water

Going back

While flapping after dunking it appeared that they stand on the water

It was a lovely evening!!
