There is something so special about foxglove - so tall and stately - yet playful when the fairies sleep inside the blossoms - or wear the flowers for their skirts - or use them for gloves when attending the fairy dances in the woods. You can see the fairy footprints inside the flowers.
Amazing pictures I love foxgloves so proud they dominate their space. The white ones are stunning, I've not seen them before.

In Japan they are called "Hotaru bukuro". Hotaru is a firefly and fukuro is a bag. can you imagine those as little lanterns lit by fireflies? My granddaughter brought me a dark purple one for Mothers'day.

The foxglove bells always fascinated me when I was a kid growing up. My mom had some wonderful ones, none of them exist anymore unfortunately.
