I think I saw two swans fly overhead yesterday so they may be starting to arrive here. We're hoping to come to the Skagit Valley to see eagles and the swans, probably in January.
Two days ago I heard a sound outside and got up to see two Trumpeter Swans land in the water in front of our cabin. Unfortunately they were too far away and it was raining at the time, so I didn't get a pictures. They are so beautiful. This is only the second time in 17 years that I've seen any at our cabin. - Margy
Love the swans!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week-end!
Must be good eats in those fields!
ReplyDeleteHello JoAnn, the swans are beautiful. I enjoyed the slide show.
ReplyDeleteIt is great to see the migrating birds and the winter birds arrive.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
Beautiful slide show! Lovely captures!
ReplyDeleteI have only seen a couple swans, far away on a pond. Nothing moving through our area any more...I don't know what has happened. But I miss it all.
ReplyDeleteComing out soon, we'll have to see what we can spot.

ReplyDeleteWonderful looking birds - do you have them all year, or are they a sign of winter?

Haven't seen too many down this way which is unusual but I see and hear them overhead.

Swans are such beautiful birds! You always get some great photos too...love the slide show! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteFrom time to time I see them in Japan in the winter but not in the Tokyo area. I saw a black swan up in Karuizawa one fall. The pictures are great!
