The Trumpeter Swans and Tundra Swans are back for the winter. These two were feeding in the harvested corn fields.

ReplyDeleteI have only seen a couple swans, far away on a pond. Nothing moving through our area any more...I don't know what has happened. But I miss it all.

ReplyDeleteI think I saw two swans fly overhead yesterday so they may be starting to arrive here. We're hoping to come to the Skagit Valley to see eagles and the swans, probably in January.
ReplyDeleteTwo days ago I heard a sound outside and got up to see two Trumpeter Swans land in the water in front of our cabin. Unfortunately they were too far away and it was raining at the time, so I didn't get a pictures. They are so beautiful. This is only the second time in 17 years that I've seen any at our cabin. - Margy

ReplyDeleteFrom time to time I see them in Japan in the winter but not in the Tokyo area. I saw a black swan up in Karuizawa one fall. The pictures are great!
